CONCLUSION
What is Fiverr?
Before we get started making money on Fiverr, let's know what Fiverr is? Fiverr is an online marketplace for freelancing services where a client and freelancer may interact for a job. In simple words, it is a freelancing website. It is an Israeli country-based company that was founded in 2010 by its founder Micha Kaufman and Shai Wininger. It is one of the most well-known platforms where you may earn money online.
Terminology
Fiverr uses a few particular terms on their platform, and it's necessary for us to understand what they stand for. I'm not going to define every term here; instead, I'll give a quick overview of some key terms to get you started on Fiverr.
Seller- It is a person (freelancer) who sells their services or skills to others on the platform to earn money.
Buyer- It is someone (client) who buys services from sellers on the platform and pays them.
Gig- You are gonna use this term a lot. Gigs are those services or skills which someone wants to sell or buy on the platform. For Example, a gig can be, I will translate your English content into Hindi, I will design a logo for your business.
Order- When a customer buys a Gig, an order page between the buyer and the seller is generated.
Buyer Requests- It's the section where you'll find buyer-made personalized offers. When buyers have some specific requirements for their project, they post that request in the buyer request section. If you are in that category in which the buyer posts a request you will be able to see that request and can apply for it.
For example, you are a content writer and sell content writing gigs only, so if a buyer posts a request related to content writing, proofreading, or related to that category, you will be eligible to apply in that category. If a buyer posts a request related to voice-over or website development, you won't be able to view or apply for it since it falls outside of your gig category. The buyer's request section is quite valuable to sellers.
Custom Offers- Sometimes Some buyers have specific needs depending on their budget, delivery time, and other considerations. If the order doesn't fit into the gig or the buyer has some specific requirements. Then you can opt for custom offers. After having a conversation with the buyer, you can create a custom offer for the buyer based on their demands.
For example- if you are charging $50 to create 5 posts but the client wants 7 posts. Then you can use a custom offer for creating a custom offer for 7 posts where you can charge more and give specific services the client wants.
Packages- While creating a gig, you get three different types of packages named basic, standard, and premium for a single gig. These enable you to specify various pricing for a single gig with different extra items.
Response Rate- It shows the average time you take to respond to the buyer in the first place within 24 hours. Learn more about the "Response rate" here.
Set yourself as unavailable- This tool is extremely useful if you are unable to give your services to buyers, are overbooked, or simply wish to take a break from your work for whatever reason. You only need to press this button when you are not available for work, and your buyer will be informed. Read more.
Dashboard- A statistical number associated presentation of your performance on the Fiverr. It lets you know what actions are needed to take and how you are doing.
Read “Glossary of terms on Fiverr” to read about more terms.
How does Fiverr work?
Let's have a look at how Fiverr works. You should be aware of words like seller and buyer if you work on Fiverr. There are two parties involved. In Fiverr's language, a Seller is the one who sells his/her services to other people on the platform and earns money, or in other words, a freelancer. The buyer (or client) is the one who buys the services from people using the platform and pays them. A "gig" refers to the services or skills a seller sells or buyer buys. They both interact through this platform and follow a pre-described procedure to complete a process. Seller makes an offer while the buyer accepts that order (if it is according to their needs) and payment happens. This is how one sells and the other buys.
Types of sellers-
Depending on the rating, and monthly performance of the seller on the platform, there are 4 types of sellers-
New Seller
This is the first stage from where everyone starts. Your profile will automatically reflect a New Seller when you first start. As a New Seller, you get the following things-
- You can Create Only up to 7 active Gigs
- You can Add 2 Extra services per Gig ($5, $10, $20 for each Extra)
- You can create custom offers (up to $20,000 each)
- You can Withdraw your earnings only after 14 days
Level One Seller-
To acquire the level one seller position from the New Seller, you have to meet certain requirements. But first, let me remind you that getting to this level will take a lot of hard work and patience. These requirements are the following:
- You have to be an active seller at least 60 days
- You must complete at least 10 orders (all time)
- You need to Earn $400 or more
- You need to maintain a 4.7-star rating over 60 days
- You must Deliver a 90% response rate score over 60 days
- You have to Score a 90% order completion rate over 60 day
- You have to Achieve a 90% on-time delivery score over 60 days
- Do not Receive warnings over 30 days
In comparison to a New Seller, you gain greater perks after being a Level one seller. These are the following:
- Now you can create up to 10 gigs
- You can Add 4 Extra services per Gig ($5, $10, $20, $40 for each Extra)
- You can create custom offers (up to $20,000 each) (which is the same)
- You can Withdraw your earnings only after 14 days (which is the same)
Level Two Seller
After a new or one level seller, there are Level-Two sellers who enjoy more benefits as compared to these two. But don't get me wrong: to get to this level, you'll have to put in a lot of effort. Getting to Level-Two isn't as simple as it appears. It's much tougher than level one, yet it's far from impossible. To become a Level-Two seller, you must meet these conditions-
- You must be an active seller for at least 120 days
- You have to Complete at least 50 orders (all time)
- You need to Earn $2,000 or more
- You need to maintain a 4.7-star rating over 60 days
- You must Deliver a 90% response rate score over 60 days
- You have to Score a 90% order completion rate over 60 day
- You have to Achieve a 90% on-time delivery score over 60 days
- Do not Receive warnings over 30 days
If you succeed in becoming a Level-Two seller, you will receive the following benefits-
- Now you can create not only 10 or 15 but up to 20 active Gigs
- You can Add 5 Extras per Gig ($5, $10, $20, $40, $50 for each Extra)
- Also, you Enjoy priority customer support (which is new)
- You can create custom offers (up to $20,000 each) (which is the same)
- You can Withdraw your earnings only after 14 days (which is the same)
Top-Rated Seller-
After all that hard work and patience, we have reached the Top-Rated level of the seller's level. It is the highest position on Fiverr, but I can assure you that it is not as easy to attain. It is significantly more difficult to reach this level than other levels, but it is not impossible. On Fiverr, there are sellers that are ranked as Top-Rated Sellers because they must have passed all the criteria and now are at this position. To learn more about the Top-Rated seller criteria, buckle up and let's get started-
- You must Be an active seller for at least 180 days
- You have to Complete at least 100 orders (all time)
- You need to Earn $20,000 or more ( which is huge but not impossible)
- You need to maintain a 4.7-star rating over 60 days
- You must Deliver a 90% response rate score over 60 days
- You have to Score a 90% order completion rate over 60 day
- You have to Achieve a 90% on-time delivery score over 60 days
- Do not Receive warnings over 30 days
If you get the op-Rated seller badge on your profile, then congo, you will get to enjoy these benefits-
- Now you can Create up to 30 active Gigs, which is wow
- You can Add 6 Extras per Gig ($5, $10, $20, $40, $50, $100 for each Extra)
- Now you can Withdraw your earnings after 7 days (not 14 days like other sellers)
- You can Enjoy priority customer support (which is also in Level-Two seller)
- You can create custom offers (up to $20,000 each) (which is the same)
As a result, attaining a seller level is important. Some buyers who want experienced and skilled sellers opt for Level-One, Level-Two, or Top-Rated sellers. It's not that the New Seller level is unpleasant, everyone starts from there but your aim should be to grow yourself and attain new clients and levels. A badge on your profile speaks a great deal about your work and experience. To get these badges, you'll need both hard effort and patience, since nothing comes easy.

Gig- A Important Term
Let's take a closer look at gigs before we go into how to set up a Fiverr account. Here's what You will learn-
- What is a gig with an example
- How to create gig-
- What Gigs should you avoid?
- List of Gig categories available on Fiverr
- Gig Tips
What is a gig with an example:
I have defined this term many times. It is a service or skill someone wishes to sell or buy on the platform. It's a long-winded method of describing your service and expertise. The gig always starts with I will….
For example-
I will create 5 posts for you in the Spanish language.
I will create a business logo for your business.
I will translate English to Hindi and vice versa.
I will design business or e-commerce WordPress websites And so on.
Depending on the services you provide.
How to create gig-
Always walk into the market and see what people are selling and for how much. Before you create a gig, make sure you do your research. I'll explain how to make a gig step by step.
Overview:
1. When you click on create a gig, the first thing that comes under the “overview category” is the "GIG TITLE". Make sure your gig has a clear, concise title. Upgrade your SEO as well. It will aid in its ranking. The title can be up to 80 characters long.
For Example- I will write a 500-word SEO article for your website.
I will design 3 modern minimalist logo designs in 24 hrs.
2. Second, comes, "CATEGORY" in which your gig comes. Make sure you select the appropriate category for your gig. If you select the incorrect category, your gig will receive a lower ranking. There is also a "SUBCATEGORY" option after that. Whatever category you choose, its subcategory will be instantly reflected. For example- If you are a translator you will probably choose writing and translation as a category and in subcategories, you have lots of options like articles and blog posts, proofreading and editing, translation resume writing and etc. chosen according to your service.
3. The third is "SERVICE TYPE". This is available to only certain categories.
4. Next is "GIG METADATA", fill up the required things on which your services are based. This is also available to only certain categories.
5. "TAGS" are the last section of the overview. Your gig can have up to 5 tags.
3. The third is "SERVICE TYPE". This is available to only certain categories.
4. Next is "GIG METADATA", fill up the required things on which your services are based. This is also available to only certain categories.
5. "TAGS" are the last section of the overview. Your gig can have up to 5 tags.
For example- If you are a translator, you can add translating, translate according to your gig.
Pricing:
The most important part is pricing because you are doing all this for money.
First, you'll see an option called "Offer packages" on the right side of the page. You can choose from three different packages or stick with one. It is entirely up to you to make your choice. These allow you to set varying prices for a single gig with extra items.
Let's say we choose an offer package where we get basic, standard, and premium packages. We must outline several features of our service in packages, such as when you will deliver the work, how many revisions you will offer, and so on. The package name, description(details of offer within 100 characters), delivery, number of revisions, price always remain the same in every gig. But besides this, you will also get other more options according to your gig which you should consider as they say a lot about your services and what you are providing in your services.
For example- If you are a translator, you will have options as Words Included, proofreading, Document Formatting, Language Style Guide, Transcription, and Subtitling.
Each category has its own set of options. You will see different options in the Graphic and Design category, Data, and other categories.
The minimum price for a gig is $5 up to the maximum for a gig. But the price scheme for voice-over gig has different pricing. You can learn more about this on Fiverr.
For example- Ankush is an English transcriber. He has his one gig name as English transcription in which he offers three packages-
Package 1 (basic)- He offers up to 5 mint transcription for $5, with up to 1 speaker, Proofreading, and file convert.
Package 2 (standard)- He offers up to 10 mint transcription for $10 with up to 2 speakers, Proofreading, and file convert.
Package 2 (premium)- He offers up to 15 mint transcription for $15 with up to 4 speakers, Proofreading, Time Reference, and file convert.
You can see he sells one gig with 3 packages.
Description-
In the Description box, you have to describe your gig briefly.
- The character limit is up to 1200.
- You can detail the services you will deliver as part of your gig, as well as your previous experience with that gig. Make sure you describe your gig in depth so the client understands what you're selling.
- Perform a search for your gig to see how others have written theirs, what they provide, and what they include and exclude. Take inspiration from others, but come up with your own description.
- Be the buyer while creating a gig and observe what services buyers are seeking. Consider the situation from the buyer's point of view.
- Make sure your grammar is straightforward and correct.
- To highlight your important points and make your gig more appealing, use bold, underline, and italic styles. When writing a list, remember to utilize bullet points to make it simpler to read.
- Don't use long and complicated sentences. Aside from that, utilize short, descriptive phrases with proper space.
- You can put URLs in your description as well, but only those that have been approved by Fiverr. Using URLs that aren't approved by Fiverr might lead to major issues with your account. For further information, see "Approved lists."
- In your description, never provide your contact information. Use all of these points to ensure you're writing a clear yet appealing description. This description is what buyers read and make decisions.
FAQs-
Then there's the FAQ section (Frequently Asked Questions)
Here you may add the frequently asked questions that you expect buyers to have. You have the option of adding up to 8 FAQs.
Let's say you're a translator. Then your frequently asked questions could be
Q- In what format do you deliver translated files?
Ans- I deliver work in documents, pdf, and Word formats.
Q- What languages do you specialize in translating?
Ans- I translate from English to Hindi and vice versa.
(These are only for example)
Requirements:
If you're a seller, you'll need some information about the project to get started. Now is your time in the spotlight. Here you may ask all of the questions or acquire all of the information you require to begin the project so that there are no discrepancies in the future and the work proceeds smoothly. You have the option of selecting Free Text, Multiple Answers, or an Attached File. In multiple answers, you need to provide the buyer an option from which he or she would choose one or more (based on what you enable). If you want the buyer to respond, you may make the answer mandatory.
You can choose images, videos, and pdfs to showcase your services.
Images-
- You can add up to 3 images.

Note- That if you have included a video in your gig, it will appear as pending until Fiverr approves it. However, if the gig does not include any video, it will be labeled as active.
What Gigs should you avoid?
If you are looking to make money on Fiverr for the long term or simply want to make a good freelancing by Fiverr then you should avoid these sorts of gigs.
Some buyers won't mind spending $5 for a funny video for a birthday party or a bachelor party. Any gig, I will make a funny birthday video for your friend's birthday. I will dress up as a zombie for your Halloween party. I will write whatever you want on the tropical beach sand. While these sorts of gigs do earn well, they cannot be considered a strong option for acquiring experience or knowledge. These gigs don't have much of a market and are just for entertainment purposes.
Don't sell gigs where you aren't skilled because the buyer still may get their money back if they aren't satisfied after the order is completed. (Due to Fiverr's preference for buyer interest). If you are not into voice-over, then don't opt for this category just because the pricing is good and the voice-over artist earns well. If you don't know how to use editing software, audio editing, and other basic skills, you won't be able to offer a good quality voice-over. Never go with those gigs in which you are unskilled.
Don't sell gigs that put you on a tight timeline or need many days of effort. like, I will create a logo in one hour. I will create a complete professional website in one day. This is not something you should do just because you want orders. Because of the tight deadlines, these sorts of gigs are hard to deliver. If you are unable to offer skilled work within a timely manner or if the buyer is dissatisfied with your work, it might mess up your rating and review in a negative way.

Gig Tips
It is essential to creating a strong and appealing gig. A gig that isn't suitable or makes it tough to communicate your skills might cause problems with your freelancing. I've outlined several points below that you should keep in mind while crafting a gig.
- In your title, use engaging wording. Make it appealing to the eye. Make sure you're not making any grammatical errors. Always use formal language instead of unprofessional language. (For example- I will write whtevr u lyk, is incorrect. Write- I will write whatever you like) . Also, avoid using difficult or confusing language that pushes buyers to use translator.
- Maintain a clear and descriptive gig description at all times. Don't overwrite. Highlight your expertise, knowledge, skills with your pricing, delivery, revisions, whatever is necessary. Make sure your description makes sense and has all of the information necessary to drive sales.
- Make your gig SEO-friendly. SEO has a significant impact on obtaining buyers.
- On Fiverr, you'll be up against hundreds of other sellers. Make sure you update your gig from time to time.
- Create as many gigs as Fiverr allows. Creating just one gig is not enough. If you're a new seller, try to make at least 4-5 or 7 gigs. There's a chance your gig may get greater attention.
- To attract more buyers, provide extras with your gig. Extra columns should never be wasted or overlooked. Make sure you're getting the most out of that section.
- Make sure your gig includes relevant images and videos. Images that aren't relevant won't aid you. Use high-resolution images as well.
- Begin with a low price. I understand that your skills are important, but if you are a new seller with a low or no rating, it is best to start with low pricing.
- Evaluate other people's Fiverr gigs in the same category for suggestions. For example, what they include and exclude, how much they charge, delivery days, and so on. This will give you an idea of how you can create your gig.
- Start spreading the word about your gig on social media. For example, if you are a writer, then you should start blogging and utilize that platform to market your Fiverr page. Sharing gigs might be really beneficial.
Starting to set up a profile
